BTE Student Stories
Thanks to the hard work of its dedicated volunteers and enthusiasm of its students, BTE Buenos Aires has immersed itself in a multitude of activities and developmental opportunities over the past few months. This trimester was particularly dynamic, marked by exciting new initiatives, hands-on workshops, and valuable educational experiences.
Volunteer Training and Program Kick-off
The trimester began with volunteer training, where BTE Buenos Aires welcomed new volunteers from Johnson & Johnson. Following the training was the launch of the program, where students and volunteers got to reconnect, create new bonds, and set the tone for the work ahead.
April: Building Stronger Relationships and Emotional Resilience
In April, the focus shifted to the students’ interpersonal skills. Through targeted activities, students worked on enhancing relationship-building. They learned practical strategies to improve their communication and cooperation with peers, helping them create a supportive learning environment. Additionally, BTE Buenos Aires provided resources on emotional management, ensuring students could better navigate their feelings in both personal and academic settings.
May: Exam Preparation
May was dedicated to preparing students for one of the most challenging aspects of their academic journeys—exams. Participants learned study techniques, time management strategies, and tips on how to reduce test anxiety. This month’s activities were designed to build their confidence and ensure they were well-prepared to face exams with a positive mindset.
June: Vocational Guidance and Exploring Local Academic Opportunities
In June, participants looked ahead to their futures. Through a series of vocational guidance workshops, students explored potential career paths, while sessions on local academic offerings gave them insight into educational opportunities available in their area. These workshops helped students align their academic interests with potential career goals, providing them with a clearer sense of direction for their futures.
July: Robotics and University Visit
In July, the BTE Buenos Aires program launched their very first robotics workshop, introducing students to technology and engineering with engaging, hands-on activities. To further their interests in STEM, the team organized a field trip to the National Technological University of Pacheco, where students had the opportunity to learn about higher education in the technical field and explore academic paths they may not have previously considered.
These last few months demonstrate the power of collaboration and innovation in the BTE Buenos Aires program. The volunteers and students have shown strong commitment, and we look forward to seeing them continue to learn and grow.
