In June 2023, Johnson & Johnson expanded its Bridge to Employment initiative in collaboration with Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of J&J, Conciencia, Escuala Nº 33, and Centro Universitario de Tigre by launching a new BTE pilot program in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
During this three-year BTE program, 60 youth from the Buenos Aires community will be provided with a variety of academic planning, career exploration & readiness, higher education awareness & preparation, and community engagement and leadership opportunities. All programming aligns with Johnson & Johnson’s global BTE efforts to:
Students will participate in two-hour academic workshops, including those with a focus on STEM2D.
Students will participate in soft skills workshops, higher education campus tours, STEM2D career workshops, programming workshops, and workshops with Johnson & Johnson volunteers.
Students will participate in self-knowledge and emotion management workshops, as well as engage in company tours at Johnson & Johnson.
Students will engage in a school community building activity each year, as well as attend community local mapping workshops, volunteer within their community, and complete a volunteering project.
By the end of the program (December 2025), the BTE-Argentina program will achieve the following:
90% of BTE participants graduate / complete secondary school.
75% of BTE participants complete the full three-year program
85% of BTE graduates are aware of post-secondary entrance requirements and application process.
70% of BTE graduates plan to attend college or another post-secondary school study program.
70% of BTE graduates are confident in their employability and job readiness (resume and interview process) skills.
30% of BTE graduates plan to pursue STEM2D careers.
80% of BTE participants volunteer in their community and complete one hour of community service (3 hours total).
