Cropped Pathways Interns Poster

Pathway to Success is a highly selective program designed for select BTE alumni which focuses on preparing young people for successful transitions from high school to college and, later, from college to career. One key element of the model centers on increasing the number of young people – especially first-generation college students – who complete higher education on time with a degree or certificate and with at least one full-time internship experience. Throughout their Pathways experience, participants engage in a variety of workplace readiness and professional development workshops that focus on building a professional portfolio, mastering behavioral based interviews, and successfully navigating the job search process to secure a professional position.

This year, Johnson & Johnson and FHI 360 are proud to announce that 17 Pathways participants have been successfully placed in 10-week, paid, full-time internships that align with their professional aspirations. Of these placements, 9 interns have been placed at Johnson & Johnson and are working within J&J’s Immunology, GCI Nursing, Community Impact, Digital Experience, Engineering & Property Services, Global Services, and Surgical Vision teams. Several interns have also secured internships with external organizations, including Trane Technologies, JP Morgan Stanley, Amtrak, Bristol Myers Squibb, Main Line Health, Withum, Middlesex County Surrogate’s Office, and FHI 360. During their internship experiences, participants are provided with bi-weekly workshops that focus on professional development and developing a deeper immersion into J&J as an organization, as well as additional learning opportunities about organization structure and potential career opportunities. Check-ins with Pathways program managers are also provided to both interns and hiring managers to ensure a successful experience for all.

On behalf of Johnson & Johnson and FHI 360, congratulations to this year’s Pathways summer interns! We look forward to learning all about your experiences during your final internship showcase later this summer!
