In celebration of Volunteer Week, we’re reflecting on the incredible impact our Johnson & Johnson volunteers made in 2024. From Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, to São José dos Campos, Brazil, to Sydney, Australia – and in many other locations around the globe – our volunteers led college and career readiness workshops, took students on exciting Johnson & Johnson site visits, and gave them an inside look into the technology they use at their jobs–including a virtual surgery! Most importantly, volunteers openly shared their personal career paths in medical research and other STEM²D fields, showing up time and time again with passion and purpose for our students.

In 2024, 196 volunteers joined 12 BTE sites worldwide, contributing over 2,916 hours of their time supporting students on their path to post-secondary education success.

Volunteers expressed just how meaningful being part of the BTE program has been, giving them a better understanding of young people in their community and equipping them with better tools to work with others. Being mentors to young people has given our volunteers purpose and a fresh perspective from new generations.

Aside from better understanding young people in their community, Johnson & Johnson employee volunteers see BTE as a powerful way to live out J&J’s Credo while creating meaningful experiences for students. Many also share that their time as volunteers has strengthened their communication, teamwork, and leadership skills—contributing to both personal growth and professional development.

Our Johnson & Johnson employee volunteers’ passion and commitment to our students makes a real difference in their lives—helping them discover new pathways to achieve their goals and inspiring them to dream even bigger. BTE wouldn’t be possible without you. Thank you to all our incredible volunteers!
