Leslie proudly represented Mexico City as a student ambassador at ABTS 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal! While there, she earned an Intercultural Fluency badge by completing coursework in intercultural work skills, and by showing those skills in working with an international team of students to put together a STEM2D demonstration activity.

My Favorite BTE memory is…

My favorite memory of BTE is when they took us to the Johnson & Johnson plant and we got to learn all about what that they do to produce products of the best quality.

To me, BTE has meant…

To me, BTE has been a huge opportunity to learn about social and work subjects, like careers that help the world in the area of healthcare.

The most important thing I will take away from BTE is…

The most important thing that I learned in BTE is definitely the ability to relate to people with different opinions than mine, to accept different points of view, and the power to believe in things that I never could have imagined before the program.

Thanks to my time in BTE and at ABTS, in the future I will…

I realized that I can continue to learn every day. This will help me in the future to work harmoniously with others, self-evaluate, and appreciate other cultures.
