BTE Student Stories

BTE Site: Franklin Township, NJ

About Me:

I was born and raised in India for 11 years of my life. I came to America in 2016 and got involved with my community with the help of my family. My community has a lot of opportunities for young adults and teens, including a summer camp where I work. Going to school for the first time was exciting but making friends that do not speak the same language as me was definitely hard. Something interesting about me is that I’ve played badminton for most of my life and still do!

Interests & Hobbies:

  • Computer building
  • Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus
  • Astronomy
  • Racket sports (including Badminton!)
  • Traveling

Your BTE Experience:

My favorite BTE experience was the resume building workshop. Even though I had made my own resume beforehand, I was introduced to new topics and ideas. Many of my questions were answered during that workshop. It was truly a significant experience as my resume is the first step into the professional world.

Looking Forward to ABTS:

I am looking forward to socializing with people from around the world and expanding my professional network. Talking to people and learning about their experiences with BTE will help me improve my BTE site and I will be able to better help students in my high school.
