September 2018 #B2ESiteSpotlight on BTE-Phoenixville!

Throughout the 2017-2018 school year, BTE-Phoenixville students completed a multi-month Product Launch project in which they simulated conceiving and launching a product for J&J.  Their first activity was a design thinking session with J&J Design in New York City, where the students conceived of products to help improve oral health care.

In December 2017, students visited a new BTE-Phoenixville partner, DePuy Synthes, in West Chester, PA.  They toured the facility, learned about medical devices, and participated in a simulation lab.

BTE-Phoenixville loves giving back to our community!  The students started 2018 right in January, when they packed over 1,000 protein packets for Kids Against Hunger.  All packages were sent to local food banks.

Students completed their Product Launch Project in May 2018. In April, they created a prototype of their new product, Lista-Ball. Finally, the students presented prototypes and marketing, business, and community education plans, to J&J management in May.
