Congratulations to 2020 BTE graduate, Aliyah!

What are your plans after graduation?

I am planning to go to Rutgers University-Newark College of Arts and Sciences to study Biology.

What is your favorite BTE memory?

My absolute favorite memory was meeting many BTE participants from around the world in Lisbon, Portugal at the 2018 Alliance Building & Training Session (ABTS). It warmed my heart to meet so many students with different cultures, and we all had similar qualities. We bonded together in a matter of three days. I am beyond thankful for this BTE experience. I left Lisbon with a variety of AMAZING memories and lifelong lessons.

What are you looking forward to the most after graduation?

I am looking forward to continuing my education at Rutgers, interacting with many students that are on the pre-med track and working with professors and my academic advisor!

Who would you like to recognize from your BTE journey?

I would love to give a huge shoutout to all BTE leads, mentors, and anyone else who is constantly involved in this amazing program. I would like to give a special recognition to Mr. Ross! Although he joined the BTE team my junior year, he has been such a SUBSTANTIAL addition to the team. Mr. Ross has dedicated much of his time to helping me thrive through BTE and has provided additional help throughout the college application process for the whole Bound Brook site. He also tutored me for the SAT and provided me with awesome tips to ace the test! For that, I am beyond thankful for all of his help.
