BTE Site: High Wycombe, England

About Me:

My name is Sammaya and I am a bubbly, outgoing individual currently doing my A-Levels. I am studying philosophy and ethics, sociology, and psychology. When I am older, I want to set up my own business and I can’t wait to travel!

My town, High Wycombe, has outstanding natural beauty. It still retains many of its historic traditions, and is famous for its chair making industry. There are many peaceful and quiet places for walks. High Wycombe is also home to Hughenden Manor, where you can see the belongings of the Victorian prime minister, Benjamin Disraeli.

Your BTE Experience:

One of my favorite experiences has been the health dilemma activity. This gave me the chance to work with my team more proactively and build on my teamwork skills. This task gave me the chance to challenge my own opinions about how I would deal with different tasks in a situation and also how other people would approach it.

Looking Forward to ABTS:

I am really excited to engage with other ambassadors and learn about the issues that are affecting education and communities today, including topics that may not be talked about so openly. Furthermore, I am looking forward to developing my own interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills which will be helpful and valuable in other aspects of life. I feel that this opportunity will allow me to share my own experience with other like-minded individuals and build on my own character.
