In celebration of World Health Day on April 7th, Johnson & Johnson will kick off its second annual World Health Workers Week.

This is the perfect moment to reflect on the tremendous impact health workers have on global health. Incredible progress has been made in expanding the reach of health workers on the frontlines of care. However, 1 billion people have little to no access to essential health services, and the World Health Organization now estimates a global shortage of 7.2 million doctors, nurses and midwives.

Be part of the discussion – join the Twitter chat Monday 4/7 to reflect on how health workers will help realize a healthier world. Follow #WHWWchat on at 1pm ET!

Of course, one day isn’t enough to spotlight the critical role frontline health workers play in improving health around the world. Health workers’ commitment will continue to inspire us to strive for better access to health services, education, and economic empowerment.

The #WHWWchat on Monday, April 7 at 1pm ET will let us share the success of health workers and reflect on what still needs to be done so that even more people have access to quality health services and health education.

Every voice matters – will you join us?
