Welcome to the Bridge to Employment (“Site”). Johnson & Johnson (J&J) and FHI 360, Inc. (FHI 360) have partnered to offer the Bridge to Employment Program (J&J and FHI 360 are collectively referred to throughout as “we,” “us,” and “ours”).

We understand the importance of protecting your personal information. We are committed to being transparent and fair when we collect and use your personal information and to complying with the data protection laws that apply in the countries where we operate. We adopted the principles and requirements of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as the basis for its general privacy practices.

This Notice describes our general privacy practices and applies to the information we collect through our websites, mobile app, or when you communicate with us by email, phone or other means. When you access or use our website, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Notice and understand its contents. Your use of our websites is subject to this Privacy Notice and any applicable Terms of Use.

Unless stated otherwise, this Notice does not apply to any third-party sites that may link to, or be accessible from, our websites.

Personal Information We Collect and How We Collect It

The information we collect during your visits to www.bridge2employment.org depends upon what you do while visiting our Site.

If you visit our Site to read or download materials, we collect and store only the following information about you (“Visitor”):

  • Date, time, country and city location from which you access our Site
  • Internet address of the website from which you came to visit our Site
  • Web pages and files you view or download while you visit our Site

We use this information to measure the number of visitors to different sections of our Site, find out what information is viewed most, and to help us make our Site more useful.

If you send us an email: We will not obtain information that identifies you specifically when you visit our Site, unless you choose to provide such information to us via email.

If you visit our Site and login to the private / resource section to read or download materials, we collect and store only the following information about you (“User”) that you voluntarily provide it to us. For example, you may provide:

  • Your name, organization, email address, username and password when you sign up with a Bridge to Employment User account
  • Your contact information and any other information you choose to include in emails or other electronic messages to us or if you contact us through the website
  • Personal information contained in articles, photos, videos, feedback, comments or other content you post on our website, participate in video conferences, or submit via online portals, forms or surveys

You can choose not to provide personal information when asked for it, but it may restrict our ability to provide you with some services you have requested.

We will not sell or otherwise make available to any third-party names, emails addresses or other personal information of Site Users. We use a double opt-in system that sends a confirmation email to new Users to make sure that they want a Bridge to Employment account. Users may choose to delete their account by emailing bte@fhi360.org.

FHI 360 stores all User account information on a secure server hosted by a third party, Azure, which does not access the contents of FHI 360’s email address list. FHI 360 will not sell or otherwise make available names, email addresses, postal addresses, or other information from its User accounts to any third party.

How Long We Keep Your Personal Information

FHI 360 keeps your personal information for as long as we need it to carry out the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws and regulations.

The Use of Cookies

In general, the Site does NOT use the “cookies” that some websites use to gather and store information about your visits. Cookies are essentially tokens of information, such as preferences and passwords, which some web servers collect when you access them. That data is stored on your hard drive – not on the website’s server. When you visit a “cookie” site, the server looks for its cookie on your hard drive and reads the information it stored there. Read your web browser’s help files to learn more about cookies.

Legal Requirements

Though FHI 360 makes every effort to preserve user privacy, there may be times when FHI 360 needs to disclose personal information when required by law. Examples of such requirements include responding to a court order or in response to requests from law enforcement authorities.

Privacy Policies of Other Websites

The Site includes links to other websites. When you click to other websites, FHI 360 is not responsible for, and has no control over, the information collection or privacy practices of that site. It is important that you review and understand the privacy policies posted on any linked sites you visit before volunteering any of your personal information. These sites may also collect cookies or allow third-party advertisers on their sites to collect cookies. You can often find information regarding a site and its privacy policy on the site’s home page.
