BTE-San Diego is our #B2ESiteSpotlight for June 2018!
BTE San Diego graduated in June 2018 after three successful years. See some of their highlights:
A BTE family that styles together stays together. Back at the start of the program back in 2015, BTE San Diego students wore their BTE shirts with pride as they embarked on their BTE journey.
One of the biggest highlights for the BTE San Diego students was volunteering to do Canyon Clean Ups in their own community. This taught them team work and what a few people can do in order to make a huge change in their community. Also, some Janssen employees provided a workshop on not just the value of giving back to their community but a learning experience as well!
Going to Janssen was definitely a highlight of the program. Being able to talk with and being mentored by Janssen employees was very beneficial for the BTE San Diego students to work on communication skills, networking and so much more! Janssen employees really inspired BTE students to make the right career choices that was in best interest for our students. They had many interactions and conversations with Janssen employee that really helped them hone in on what career choices to choose from.
In June 2018, 34 students from Herbert Hoover High School in San Diego were excited to graduate from the 3-year BTE program. The students are high achievers and are going into higher education throughout California, Mexico, and the East Coast. We are so proud of our San Diego BTE students and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors!
